My photography journey is no extraordinary story. I like to think of it as a path I was meant to be on but I just didn’t know about it. I’m on it now and giving it my all to see where this road leads.
My official name is Peter Ndung’u. The moniker “Size10” is ingenuity from my teenage days by some of my peers who chose to call me that owing to my large shoe size. I’m proudly Kenyan. Born and raised in Nairobi. My journey began on the internet. I would constantly find myself busy online staring at beautiful images asking myself how people were able to create such immaculate work. This then sparked my interest and I began seeking inspiration locally where I then discovered Mutua’s works, alongside Mwarv and the Onetouch crew. Internationally I draw inspiration from Von Wong, Michael Shainblum, Elia Locardi among others. So that’s where it began, on the internet. The rest was a series of events that they say is history but to me, it’s my story and I’m proud of it.
Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to have worked on interesting projects, clients and received various awards. Some of my clients include:, The World Bank, Brookside Dairy, Java House, 360 Degrees Pizza, Pope Francis in Kenya media team, Blankets and Wine, Kenya At 50, among others.
Projects include: Sandstorm Kenya( #MySandstormJourney & #MadeForSafari), Samsung Kenya, Infinix Kenya, Huawei (Huawei P9- #OOP9KE), Egypt 2016 (#ThisisEgypt, #BackpackingEgypt), Kenya Airways(#MeetTheDreamliner), among others.
